teach

Working as an English teacher in a foreign country for one year or two provides you a great way to transit from college to a professional career. Our Teaching English in China program is for any qualified individual who is looking for a meaningful teaching and learning experience as short as one semester in China. In addition to a well-paid teaching position (including paid vacation and public holidays), you’ll also receive extensive English teaching resources and material, teacher training, visa support and lifetime job referral service. Our partner schools are spread throughout mainland China, many of which located in scenery cities with rich cultural and natural heritage.

The Center also provides free Chinese Language & Culture lessons, guided tour to historic attractions for participants who also join TESL Summer Camp program.

The placements are for English language teachers. To be considered for half year or a full year placement, applicants must be a native English speaker with love of teaching. You do not need to know any Chinese or have taught previously. You must be comfortable speaking in front of groups, be enthusiastic about teaching, and have strong organizational skill. You must take your 'ambassadorial role' seriously, as you will be highly regarded in your local community and will be seen as our Center’s representative at host institution.

* This program may qualify for TESL/TEFL internship and/or up to 10 credit hours accepted by colleges and universities (you need pre-approval from your home institution).
